Today is my first day of class. At first, I’m so nervous about the placement test.
After the test, I’m still nervous about taking the class.
I have not been a student for the past 2 years. After graduating from college,
I worked as a receptionist and admin. assistant in a foreign company.
However, I had no much time to apply my English and found my English is worse
than before. That’s why I’m here. I hope I can improve a lot in 3 months.

After finishing the class, I accompany Nicole to open a bank account nearby.
The bank clerks ask if Nicole has security I.D., but we don’t know what it is.
And then, they discuss for a while. Finally, one of clerks gives her an application
form. However, she doesn’t know how to write her address in English,
so we have to find out and apply next time.

I didn’t sleep well last night. Maybe because of time differences,
I woke up at about 4: 30 a.m. this morning and then I couldn’t fall back asleep.
Therefore, I just got up to finish my homework and left a message for my
boyfriend who is in Taiwan . I miss him so much, but I avoid thinking about him
because I'm afraid I’ll can’t help crying. I can’t cry from the very beginning.
Although I feel so tired every day, I keep telling myself to be strong.

While we were taking Power English class, Lisa came in and said the students
in level five have to make OSULA’s newspaper. And I was chosen to be an
editor with the other boy. I am worried that my grammar is not good enough to do
this job, so I must read a lot from now on. Actually, I don’t like to read the
newspaper in Taiwan because I feel it is dirty in my hands. I prefer to watch the
news on TV, read it in the magazine or surf it on the Internet. I never think about
how to make a good newspaper. Maybe it will be fun and challenging for us.

Friday, the last work day, always makes me livelier but I met a man who spoiled
my pleasure when I accompanied Nicole to open an account again in Citibank this afternoon.
A clerk who served us was so serious and impatient. Besides, when
my friend spoke her password for her account out loud,
I was surprised that she is so thoughtless.
However, I was even more startled that the clerk said that’s ok.
His attitude was bad and he didn’t care whatever she did. I told my friend,
“You must change your password later.” In the end, that clerk impolitely gave us
his business card by throwing it on the desk. When I came back the room, I just
threw it into the trash can because I didn’t need an unkind clerk’s business card.
